With a good friend marrying her best friend, I felt I had to make a card they could treasure forever (hopefully). I found a sampler pattern and changed it enough to allow me to personalise it. This is the outcome. The butterflies are 3D-ish using paper cut-outs to compliment the card colour and thread colours.
Wine glass charms with glass blown sheep, cow, pukeko, kea, kiwi and jandal as well as a pukeko wine bottle stopper, very kiwiana were also part of their gift. Hopefully the boxes, bubblewrap, padded bag and additional thick pieces of cardboard mean everything arrive safely in the US.

SPCA Cupcake Day 2012
A selection of the cupcakes I baked and decorated for the 2012 SPCA Cupcake Day at the end of August. A flock of sheep, some pawprints, a dozen Oscar the Grouch cupcakes, busy bee with a flower, some dogs, some dogbones. All in all I baked 70 cupcakes, 51 were elaborately decorated, the others were just for us at home. $100 was made through selling them to the Lions members and was donated to the Taranaki SPCA. Quite pleased with my efforts.

Blossom
This is Blossom. She's the first crafting I've done in over a month now. With a little rose in her hair, she's quite a pretty little girl. Using The Wool Stops merino and silk fibre in the paua colouring, with a little bit of pale blue for her ears, nose and pads of her feet. The photos don't quite do her justice really.

More Cards...
Another selection of cards I've been working on over the last little while. Birthday cards, baby cards and more birthday cards. They've gone into my stash of cards to have on hand 'just in case'.

Stitched Baby Gifts
With so many friends and family having babies in the past few months and in the months coming, I've been trying to stockpile some homemade gifts - onesies, gowns, sleepers, caps and bibs.
Patchwork bunny with flower on an envelope short sleeve onesie (lavender)
Short sleeve onesie with sailboat (cream)
Rocking horse short sleeve onesie (pink)
Just Ducky sleeper (yellow)
Long sleeve onesie with butterfly (yellow)
Lickle Ted bib, blue with white spots
Birds Nest Cupcake
Made about 15 of these for my Gran's 85th birthday this weekend. Baked the cupcakes at home and then took them plus the fixings for the icing, etc. with us and made them up in the motel room the morning before we headed over to Gran's. Left the remaining 5 with my aunt and uncle to 'dispose of' safely...needless to say, I think they're gone already!!

Welcome, baby Noah
Gift for my cousin's new baby boy, Noah. Hand knotted fleece blanket (baby animals on one side, coordinating yellow on the other), baby ducks stitched on to a short-sleeve onesie and cap. Forgot to take a picture of the card sent for his welcome but it was an N with a patchwork teddy bear on the front.
Jam & Marmalade Making
Exploits of jam making from the end of 2011 and now. Rhubarb, Rhubarb and Strawberry, Strawberry, Raspberry and Plum jams are all stored for the winter! Won't have to buy any for a long, long time!!
20 pots of marmalade in varying sizes, plus several that have been eaten already and a few have been given away - probably made about 26 jars all up. Also all stored ready for the winter!

Cards, cards and more cards!
A card for a baby boy, with so many friends due within the next few months, I thought I'd better replenish my stocks of baby cards!
I've also been stitching an initial card for family members. This one's for my cousin's daughter, Lily. Using ribbon and embellishments hopefully she'll enjoy it.
Final Christmas card for this season. A patchwork heart, which could have worked for other occasions too, but I just liked the idea of a Christmas heart. Using foam tape, it has a 3D quality to it too along with a holly embellishment.
More initial cards to come (both birthday and Christmas initials).
